This week you will be learning more about Adobe Photoshop. You will learn how to create basic animations with graphics and text. You will also learn how to create a photo slideshow online using Photoshop and Adobe Bridge.
You will also be introduced to using layers, how to choose colors, adding text, using the shape tool, using the paint tool, rasterizing an image (converting it into pixels to be displayed on screen), animated gif’s, the pointer tool, screen resolution, and transparent backgrounds.
When working with graphics and images, whether for a graphic design project or for your website, you will often run into the need for stock images. It’s not OK- legally and for copyright purposes- to simply do a Google image search and grab whatever images you find. Two great FREE sites I use all the time are stock.xchng and Microsoft Clip Art. You can also try iStockphoto, which isn’t free but it’s fairly inexpensive.
Since we lost two days working with our Adobe programs we will likely spend some more time after February break continuing to go over some of these programs.
