Congrats to Jared- the Mayor’s office submitted his billboard design and now it’s up and running!
It’s possible we will work on more billboard designs. I will let you know and would love to see more of you actually get involved.
This was a great example of a real world design challenge. It wasn’t a website but you had the opportunity to use the Adobe programs and put some of your design skills to work.
Class Today
1. Why don’t you have school tomorrow?
2. Go over rest of week and upcoming activities
3. Announcement- digital gaming competition. The MassDiGI Game Challenge is now open for registration! Check out www.massdigi.org/gamechallenge for more information. Use password digichallenge for complimentary entry. The event takes place April 13-15 in Cambridge at Microsoft NERD (cool building Kendall Square, Cambridge). In addition to the competition, you can learn about how games are created and hear from pros in the industry.
4. Design Evaluations. You’re going to evaluate a website based upon its design. I want you to think about layout, organization, content, color scheme, creativity, use of text in the design, etc. This practice will hopefully get you thinking about these kinds of things for your next web project.
Everyone will evaluate two different websites. You will enter your name and the websites you’re rating into the form below.
