PERIOD 2- FINISH HARVEST OF THE MONTH GRAPHICS
Today’s goal: Create an infographic, interactive image, or collage to promote September’s Harvest of the Month, tomatoes.

- You’re going to create images for the school webpage and social media to promote the school lunch program’s Harvest of the month
- Important: only use photos from the sources below and make sure you’re creating something you are proud to have on the school site and in your portfolio!
- Where your stuff will go: school webpage, school/city Facebook, school/city Twitter
- Septembers’s Harvest of the Month is tomatoes. Today school nutritionist Retta Smith is visiting us and we’re going to sample tomatoes and visit the school garden.

PERIOD 3- CREATE OWN PAGE ON CLASS WEBSITE

Getting started
- WordPress overview: I’ll show you the basics of how the page editor is set up and how you would add text, images, and links.
- Logging in:
- Go to this link
- User name is first name (as seen here), password is last name2016. Example: Goldsberry2016 and the first letter is capitalized.
- Find your page: from the Dashboard, click Pages in the left menu, then type your first name in the white search box on the top left and hit enter. When you find your name, point your mouse to it and then click Edit below your name. You should now see your page editor.
- Still need images? Try https://unsplash.com/, https://www.pexels.com/, or Bing.com (do image search, then search for free to share and use).
